About

Casimir Stanley. You can call me Cas. Systems administration, consulting, and building tools that make IT easier to run.

How I got started

I got into IT on the ground floor: supporting faculty, staff, and clinical-adjacent teams at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. That work taught me how to keep systems reliable when downtime is not an option, and how to explain technical choices to people who care about outcomes, not acronyms.

From there I moved into dedicated IT support at Applied Control, then into system administration at Varent, where I owned the Microsoft Entra tenant, endpoint and security posture, and day-to-day care of SaaS and data systems across multiple business units. Along the way I leaned hard into self-directed learning, especially SQL and PowerShell, and into the Microsoft cloud stack because that is where modern identity, devices, and compliance actually meet.

Today I split my time between deep operational IT work and building things under my own roof: Stanley Consulting LLC for infrastructure and systems work with clients, and ITKits, where I am focused on making enterprise-grade procurement and stack decisions easier for small and mid-sized organizations.

I am based in Castle Rock, Colorado. I care about clear documentation, defensible security, and systems that still make sense six months after you build them.
